New Community Features

10th June, 2008

Written by: SJ Regan ( sjregan).

We've just launched a brand new version of the website that includes a range of various updates including new community features to make it easier to keep track of your comments and replies.

Whenever you see the 'Add to MyNode' icon, simply click it and the item will be added to  MyNode (you must be logged in to see the icon). This means you will be notified of any comments to this item via the DanceNode messaging system.

You can check your messages at any time by logging into the website and either looking under MyNode, or by looking at the top right of the site where you will be notified of any new messages.

You can also add forum threads to MyNode to keep track of conversations and to reply easily.

Note: By default everyone who adds an item to MyNode will be emailed notifications of any messages, you can stop receiving these messages by changing your contact preferences.

If you have any problems with the new messaging system, or the update in general please let us know and as always we are looking for your suggestions on how we can continue to improve the site.

At the moment we are putting the final touches on the DanceNode API. This will allow applications to utilise the information DanceNode provides in a variety of ways so keep an eye out.

We have also started work on our first desktop application: DJ Companion. We don't want to give away too much information at this stage but can guarantee if you are into the dance music scene in any way be it DJ, label or fan it will quickly become an invaluable tool.
