DJ Mag Top 100 Voting Begins for 2008

1st August, 2008

Written by: Chris Allen ( chris allen).

So who will top the charts this year?  Who will be disqualified for fudging votes?  Who will be the biggest surprise?

All of the above questions will be answered in a few short months but in the meantime we as electronic music fans have a duty to vote for our favorite performers and 'give back' to the artists, so to speak, by showing who our top choices are for 2008.  We will also be subsequently bombarded with all types of spam from these same artists encouraging us to give them the all important nod in hopes that they will top the charts of the worlds most prolific popularity contest in dance music.

In all honesty the DJ Mag Top 100 poll is quite important to many of the DJ's who rank highly on the list.  It can help with bookings for the upcoming year, as well as salary increases, popularity, and inevitebly bragging rights amongst your friends and enemies in the industry.

This year the voting is sponsored by digital download site Trackitdown.net, offering up a free track from their website worth (£1.49) and a free digital copy of DJ Mag! To take advantage of this great offer just place your vote and check your email for the confirmation which will contain more information.  Voting is free and is reletively painless (save a few e-mails from DJ Mag over the coming months) and quite easy.  Just head over to DJ Mag and cast your vote for your top 5 candidates.

Results announced at a glittering party in London on Wednesday 29th October.  Best of luck to all candidates this year!
