The people behind the mac DJ'ing application DJ1800 have released an update that allows you to play music directly from the iPhone and iPod Touch. Don't count on seeing this kind of app on the iPhone anytime soon, it just doesn't have enough grunt to support this kind of work.

IR-909 is a drum machine for the iPhone inspired by the Roland TR-909. IR-909 features a 16-step sequencer, 4 patterns and 8 different drum sounds. IR-909 includes individual pitch, attack and length controls for each sample. It's good to see more and more music creation apps available for portable devices such as the iPhone.

The guys over at Audio Jungle have a great article on music apps available for the iPhone. For those with an iPhone you can now jam on the bus on the way to work.

For all those crazed iPhone fans out there the first commercial music creation software has been released to the app store. You can go over to our friends at Create Digital Music and read their run down, as I don't have an iPhone to play with this.

Looks very simplistic but could provide some entertainment value.
